Shameless Self Promotion

As a recent graduate, I could use some serious help in finding my first "real job". I graduate with a bachelor's in journalism electronic media in May. Although I have interned and even worked to produce packages to air, I still have never held a full-time journalism gig. I am willing to relocate anywhere in the U.S.A. My resume and samples of my work are available at kategreer.tumblr.com! If you know of any job openings in your area, or know of anyone who could help me out, please leave a comment! Like most careers, networking is the best option to getting your foot in the door. In a global recession, it's about who you know, more than what you know. I am willing to admit that I need more experience, but am not afraid to work hard to earn it. I enjoy journalism and believe in its altruistic abilities to help others through the flow of information. Please help me!

Have you considered freelance? With your background in journalism and electronic media, it'd be a good way to build up a portfolio. Some companies will even allow you to telecommute, though others want you in their area.

This is a good website for some leads:

It's hard to filter through the scams out there that try to get you to pay for job leads. This one is legit, though, and you don't need to pay to use it. You don't even have to register. It gets job leads from a variety of places and posts there.

If I see other jobs pop up, I'll let you know. Good luck job hunting!
